Making an Appointment

It can be hard to reach out and start counseling services. Made to Thrive will make this process easy and painless. Appointments can be made by phone, text, or email. Once you reach out, our counselor Erica will respond directly to your request within 1 business day.

After you schedule your initial appointment, Erica will provide you two options to complete your initial intake paperwork. The first option is to get a link to the online client portal where you can easily and confidentially complete the intake paperwork, access confidential instant messaging, and input billing information. If you would prefer paper copies, the initial forms can be sent to you directly via email or mail.

Your First Appointment

Counseling is an individualized process, but the first session is often very similar for each client. When you arrive at the office, you will find a waiting room area right inside the front door. I ask that each client arrives 10 minutes early to complete some short paperwork before the start of the first session. Your therapist will meet you in the waiting area at your scheduled appointment time. At the start of the session, the office policies and procedures, including confidentiality, will be reviewed with you. The therapist will then begin the assessment process which involves some questions about your background and what is bringing you to therapy. Sessions typically last between 45-50 minutes, though shortened or extended sessions can be arranged.
