Therapy is an investment of your time, energy and money. The return on that investment is often measured in the positive impact therapy can have on your life. You may find that you have improved health, solid relationships, stable mood, and are even more effective at work.
Made to Thrive does not accept private insurance. This is known as a “private pay” therapy practice. All sessions are billed directly to the client (or guardian if under the age of 18). The office will be happy to provide you with a bill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Be sure to check with your insurance provider if reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services are covered by your health plan.
Individual psychotherapy appointment: $85
Couples or family psychotherapy appointment: $100
Payment is required at the time of service. Cash or check is preferred. Credit, HSA, and Paypal are all accepted. Checks can be made payable to ‘Made to Thrive‘.
Discounted sessions can be provided to a limited number of clients with documentation of financial difficulty. This is based on household income and number of family members in the home. Please call to ask if any discounted slots are available.
I am often asked why I do not accept insurance. Here are some of the benefits of Private Pay counseling for you and your family:
- No formal diagnosis is required
- Mental Health treatment is kept off of your medical record
- There is no need to justify a certain number of sessions
- Most people have high deductible plans and would be paying out of pocket regardless
A friend of mine, Stacey Steinmiller, wrote a blog post about the affordability of counseling. It can be found here.
To cancel an appointment, please contact the office as soon as possible. All appointments must be canceled with at least 24 hours notice to avoid being billed for the full cost of the session.
